In 1904, Louis Cartier was asked by his friend Alberto Santos-Dumont, a Brazilian aviator and early pioneer of flying machines, to make a watch that was visible without taking his hands off the controls. In 1911, Cartier made the Santos available to all.

A fantastic timepiece for any watch fan out there. A true design classic from Cartier and a forever stylish timepiece. A Cartier is a must-have in every collection and the Santos is one of the most iconic watches of all time! Perfect for the vintage watch newbie too, and this watch can be switched from bracelet to strap if you reqiure so in the future but looks fantastic as is. The slightly smaller, 27mm case makes for a very comfortable wear on the wrist of a more petite person/lady, or someone who prefers discreet quality.
