The Frederique Constant Yacht Timer GMT Special Edition is a sophisticated timepiece for those who appreciate nautical elegance. The watch exemplifies exactly what a Yacht Timer should do; boasting decent water resistance and combining sophistication and sporty chic.

Putting this watch on is almost like buying a 5-story super-yacht...almost. Using matte and glossy surfaces together, the watch's sporty presence works in conjunction with its dressy features, creating a timeless but interesting look. Its Guilloché background pattern is such a great choice that complements the sporty look and adds a nice pop to the dial. 

Speaking to the GMT function, the red-tipped hand in the centre indicates 24-hour time which is very much idiot-proof. Nighttime is depicted in dark blue and daytime in a silver-grey, creating a good-looking, perfect circle in the middle, save for a date at 3 O'clock. A nice little detail is the FC-signed winding crown and the sapphire exhibition caseback.
