Developed in 1952 by Willy Breitling, the iconic timepiece was adopted by the Aircraft Owners and Pilots Association (AOPA) as their official watch two years later. Its world-renowned design has been worn by pilots and celebrities alike, and even taken into space on the wrist of astronaut Scott Carpenter in 1962.
